If you’re a golf enthusiast looking for a unique and modern golfing experience, Golf Up in Grimaud, 10 kilometers from Saint Tropez, is the place to be. This beautiful 9-hole training course, with holes averaging 35 to 70 meters, is perfect for honing your short game. My 14 years old son and I completed the course in less than an hour and enjoyed it so much we went around twice.
The driving range at Golf Up is state-of-the-art, featuring TopTracer HD screens and TrackMan radars at each training place. I trained with Toptracer Range on the driving range for the first time, and I absolutely loved it. The device shows you the trajectory, distance, and speed of each shot, making the practice session much more enjoyable and effective.
The training areas for putting and chipping are also excellent, providing all the necessary tools to improve your game.
Golf Up is the first course in Europe to be entirely made of artificial grass, covering a total of 7 hectares. This unique feature makes the fairways and greens consistent and enjoyable to play on, with the greens being slightly faster than natural ones.
The staff at Golf Up are incredibly friendly and speak English, making it easy for international visitors. You don’t need to be a member to enjoy the facilities; simply pay the fee to access the course and driving range.
The on-site pro shop is well-stocked with stylish golf apparel and equipment. According to their website, custom-fitting experts and pros are available to assist you.
Golf Up is ideal for families and even allows dogs on the premises and course. It’s a great place for children to learn and enjoy the game in a welcoming environment.
There is a restaurant, La Table des Oliviers, on-site. While we didn’t try the food, it adds convenience for a full day at the course.
For two people, including entry fees, 80 balls at the driving range and the rental of two golf carts, we paid 106 EUR. The course access is unlimited for the day, so you can play as many rounds as you like.
